European Distribution Alliance with Ingram Micro
Cirius Messaging Continues to Expand Reach through European Distribution Alliance with Ingram Micro
Cirius secure messaging selected by Ingram Micro to be among its first cloud solutions distributed globally
BARCELONA, SPAIN AND VANCOUVER, CANADA (March 31, 2015), Cirius Messaging Inc. has further broadened the potential reach of its cloud-based secure messaging solution through a European distribution alliance with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) as well as availability in Ingram Micro’s new European Cloud Marketplace, which launched today during Ingram Micro’s Cloud Summit Europe. Cirius’ secure messaging platform is also among the first cloud solutions selected by Ingram Micro for global distribution to meet the growing demand for simple, secure cloud solutions. Cirius announced its North American distribution alliance with Ingram Micro earlier this month. The alliances enable Cirius secure messaging to be sold through Ingram Micro’s channel partners to businesses worldwide.
Unlike traditional encryption tools that are complicated to use and deploy, Cirius removes the complexity from security. Cirius allows companies to protect, track, control and manage their messages and documents even after content has been sent. It supports the full spectrum of information privacy and security regulations and data can be hosted in the customer’s region of choice to ensure compliance with data jurisdiction requirements, which mandate where and how business data can be stored.
“Our success and leadership in the cloud result from our ability to offer innovative solutions which help overcome the increasing security challenges of today’s complex business environments,” said Carl Alloin, Executive Director Europe, Ingram Micro. “There is high demand by our channel partners for security products, like Cirius, which are easy to deploy and use, and add value through their seamless integration with many of the other solutions available through Ingram Micro Cloud and our new European Cloud Marketplace.”
Cirius differentiates itself through enhancements that enable greater productivity and collaboration. Using a patented “Delivery Slip” feature, which provides real-time information about the secure message in a simple, visual format, users can track when their message is received and read and control whether it can be forwarded or replied to by recipients. Secure messages can be recalled even after they have been sent and large file attachments of up to 5GB can be sent rapidly and securely for effective data leak protection. Cirius works on any device including smart phones and tablets and tightly integrates into existing email platforms using existing email addresses – without installations, downloads, traditional encryption keys, or certificates to manage.
“As a 100 per cent channel-focused product, it is incredibly exciting to have the global reach and powerful support of Ingram Micro Cloud and the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplaces in Europe and North America,” said Cameron Burke, SVP business development, Cirius Messaging. “We’ve worked hard to create a compelling and unique cloud-based security solution that is easier for the channel to sell than traditional encryption because it is really simple to use, takes into consideration the growing challenges of data sovereignty and makes business communications more effective.”
Cirius, which has been in business for eight years, has a strong base of customers in regulated industries, such as healthcare, financial services, legal and insurance, which use the solution to help comply with information security legislation. However, in 2014 the company experienced a 268 per cent increase in revenues and a large portion of this growth came from small and medium size businesses (SMBs).
“The increase in privacy legislation in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, as well as the impending EU Data Protection Directive, are driving a global shift toward solutions like Cirius which offer data security and transparency,” continued Burke. “Today, it’s not just enterprise customers in regulated industries that want their data protected, but organistions of all sizes that recognise security is a business reality. Our relationship with Ingram Micro significantly expands the opportunity to reach these businesses.”
Cirius is a simplified, secure communications and information management solution that enables companies to protect and control email and valuable company data. More than 5,000 customers worldwide in every industry sector depend on Cirius’ innovative platform to communicate securely on any device, control what happens to their messages even after they have been sent, rapidly transfer large files, and prevent data loss. Cirius is a cloud-based solution that is easy to use and deploy, yet powerful in its many applications. In this age of growing regulatory oversight and increased pressure to safeguard customer data, Cirius is helping companies gain a competitive edge through better relationships, increased productivity, lower overhead, and a reputation of trust.
